Three steps

The same three steps, whichever app you're coming from.

  1. Export from your old app

    Use a full backup from Squeegee, or a CSV or Excel export from another app. Where to find your file is below.

  2. Drop the file in

    Start your free 3 months, choose "In a spreadsheet or another app", then Choose your file. Excel, Numbers, CSV and Squeegee backup files all work.

  3. Check and go

    Every customer is on one line, ticked. Untick anyone you don't want, or tap them to change their details. Then tap Add.

Find the app you use now. Not sure where your export is? Send us a message.

Squeegee

  1. On a computer, open Squeegee.
  2. Settings (top left), then Data, then Manage Backups.
  3. Click Run a manual backup now.
  4. Click the three dots beside the newest backup, then Download.
  5. Choose that file in Roundly. Its name ends in .sqg.

Gate codes, notes and each customer's next clean come across too. Roundly also shows money owed, credit and the history it can bring in for you to check.

Cleaner Planner

Export from the Customers tab. The file it gives you is called Customers.csv.

Go to More, then Customers, then Export.

Aworka

Look in its settings for Export or Download, and choose CSV or Excel.

Use the file as it is: Excel, Numbers and CSV all work. From Google Sheets: File, Download, CSV.

A paper diary

Add customers one at a time: name, address and price is enough to start. Begin with one day's customers and bring the rest over when you're ready.

Nothing goes in until you've seen it

Roundly shows you what it read from your file, and asks when it isn't sure.

  • Every customer is shown before anything is added. Untick anyone you don't want.
  • When Roundly isn't sure, it asks: which row has your column names, whether a row is an area or a customer, whether the last visits were paid.
  • Dates and last visits in your file help Roundly work out who's due. From a Squeegee backup, you can also review money owed, credit and imported history.
  • Customers missing a phone number or a price still come in, listed first so you can fill the gaps now or later.
  • Roundly checks for matching customers already on your round. Review the matches before adding anyone.
  • Your old app isn't touched. Run both side by side for your free 3 months. Nothing is charged unless you say yes.

Questions about switching

Will I lose anything?

Your old app isn't touched, so everything in it stays where it is. What comes across depends on your file: customer details, prices, schedules, notes and last visits. Squeegee backups also let you check money owed, credit and the history Roundly can bring in. Keep your original file for a complete record. You can undo an import for 7 days; Roundly shows what it can remove and keeps records you've changed since.

How long does it take?

Roundly reads your file as soon as you choose it. Then you check the customers and any money or history before tapping Add. A tidy export can be quick; larger rounds or messy sheets need more checking. If you'd rather have help, send us the file and we'll put your customers in for you, free, within 2 working days.

What if my sheet is messy?

Roundly asks rather than guesses: which row has your column names, whether a one-word row is an area or a customer, and whether the last visits were paid. Customers with a gap still come in, listed first so you can fill it now or later. Or send us the sheet and we'll put your customers in for you.

Can you do it for me?

Yes, free. Send your file from Roundly's import screen (tap "Send it to us"), or email it to [email protected], and we'll put your customers in for you within 2 working days.
