What is your window cleaning round worth?

Rounds are priced as a number of times their monthly takings. Put in yours to see what one buyer paid, what guides say and what sellers ask.

Where the numbers come from

One buyer: an owner on Window Cleaning Forums says they paid "3.5 and 4 x monthly" for three rounds (2024 thread).
Guides: Cleaner Planner (2016) and Window Cleaning Warehouse both say 3 to 5 times monthly takings.
Asking prices: we counted the rounds listed on windowcleaningroundforsale.co.uk between 29 September 2025 and 29 September 2026 that showed both takings and price: 94 listings, leaving out sold ones and a few with figures that didn't add up. Half asked between 4 and 8 times their monthly takings, and the middle one asked 5.6 times.

Tidy records. A round with names and contact numbers sells for more than "a sheet of paper with some numbers on it" (Window Cleaning Forums, 2024).
Customers who stay. Buyers often agree an allowance for customers who drop off after the sale, 5 to 10% in one guide (Window Cleaning Warehouse), or pay half up front and the rest once they have worked the round (windowcleaningroundforsale.co.uk).
How customers pay. Before buying a round paid by Direct Debit, ask the payment provider how a change of owner works and whether customers need to sign up again. In 2018 GoCardless said mandates couldn't be moved to another account (quoted on the forum).
Buying a round? Compare the asking price with the takings in the seller's records, not just their word. Check how customers pay, how many pay on time, and how spread out the houses are.
